Fukushima Robot Test Field accepts requests for tours by companies, local governments, educational institutions, and related organizations, in order to advance the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework.
※We receive an extremely high volume of inquiries, so we may need to ask that you adjust your schedule. Thank you for your understanding.

※General public tour participants: Those not using the test-field facilities or paid facilities and equipment

《Points to Note 》
※The areas accessible to general public tours do not include the paid facilities and equipment in the Development Base Facilities and in the test-field facilities (Unmanned Aircraft Facilities, Underwater and Maritime Robot Facilities, Infrastructure Inspection and Disaster Response Robot Facilities).

【Infection Prevention at the Fukushima Robot Test Field】
・We regularly clean and disinfect places accessed by the public (including facilities, etc.) and commonly accessed items.
・Alcohol disinfectant is available in various places around RTF, and liquid soap is provided in each washroom to encourage hand washing.
・We use air conditioners in RTF to provide ventilation and control the temperature and humidity.
・RTF staff take their own temperature every day and strive to be healthy.
Staff also wear face masks when attending to visitors.
・If you are feeling unwell, please refrain from entering RTF.

1. Tour Days and Times

Days: Monday to Friday (Tours are not conducted on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays.)
Times: 9:30-11:30, 13:30-16:00
※Please note that tours take 60 minutes within the times above.
Bookings are accepted up to 14 days before the desired date. Please let us know by email if you wish to cancel your booking or change the number of tour participants.

2. Number of Participants

Between 2 and 25 people may participate in a tour.
※Please note that the number of tour participants cannot exceed the set number.

3. Tour Details

・Overview of facilities (20 minutes)
・Research Building tour (30 minutes)
_Participants view the test-field facilities from the roof on the eastern and western sides.

The following video shows what will happen on the day of your tour. Please take a look.
    

※Tour participants move around inside the Research Building on foot. Please note that the only way of accessing the roof is by stairway.
※To reduce the burden on the environment, we do not print or hand out information materials on the day of your tour.If you need the information materials to be printed,please access them here, print them out, and bring them with you.
※The tour route may vary depending on the weather, etc.
※Tours may have to be canceled or discontinued in the event of severe weather or natural hazard (e.g., heavy rain, storm, earthquake).

5. How to Apply

(1) Please apply at 6. Internet-Booking Form. Select your preferred date by clicking on a date with a “●” or “▲” and then go to the booking procedures.
 At this point, your booking date and time are provisional.
(2) Once we have received your provisional booking, the RTF Reception Desk (robot.info@fipo.or.jp) and the Liaison Division, Operations Department at RTF (robot2@fipo.or.jp) will contact you within 2 business days (the next business day if it is a Saturday, Sunday, or national holiday) with possible tour dates for you.
  If you have still not received an email after that time, please contact us.
(3) We may adjust your tour date or time and decide the date of your tour.
  Once your tour date is decided, we will send you a blank name list. Please fill it in and return it by email at least two weeks before your tour date.

※The calendar is only an indication of the status of booking applications. It does not guarantee that your preferred booking will be possible.
※We may not be able to meet your request depending on booking availability and schedules.
※We handle the information on your application with care and use it only for the purposes of your tour application.

7. Other

※We do not accept bookings by phone. You must ensure that you book using the Internet-Booking Form.
※Please make a note in the Messages box if special consideration is required (e.g., wheelchair use) or if your visit to RTF is for school studies.
※If you intend to do a tour, etc. of other places (apart from RTF) on the same day as your booking at RTF, please attach a complete schedule for that day.
