Procedures for Use

Please read first.

1. Preliminary consultation

If you are using the RFT for the first time or would like to consult us about tests and sites, please contact the office below.

2. Check facility availability

Before applying to use a facility, please check booking availability.
First check booking availability, then complete an Inquiry Form and send it to the Booking Desk.

  • Please note that there may already be a facility booking for the date/time that you found.
  • You can make a booking within 1 year from the date your inquiry is received and within the fiscal year in which the booking is accepted.
  • Bookings are not accepted on days when the RTF is closed (Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays [Dec. 29 to Jan. 3]).
  • After checking the Inquiry Form we receive from you, an RTF staff member will contact you to check the facility-use details. Please note that our reply may be delayed if we have a lot of inquiries.
    ※Please contact us if you have still not received a reply from us after a long time.
  • After you submit an Inquiry Form, we will use a Booking Contact Form to reply to you whether you can use the facility on your preferred date (we will make a provisional booking based on the details in the Booking Contact form).
  • Please contact the Fukushima Technology Centre Minamisoma Technical Support Centre directly for information about high-tech equipment booking availability.
  • Please contact us to discuss how to deal with trials or training involving piloted helicopter flights.

3. Planning meeting

Based on your inquiry, the Technical Division or Facility Management Division will contact you to confirm the details of your facility use.
If the RTF staff member requests, please complete and send the following documents.

3-2 Use Plan (No set form. Please see the Confirmation of Use Form for the details to include.)
As far as possible, please put all the necessary information in your Use Plan in one file, e.g., a Microsoft Word file.

4. Application for Use

Once you have received the Booking Contact Form from the Booking Desk, prepare and send an Application for Approval of Use.

Once your Application for Approval of Use has arrived, it will go through the approval process.
Once your application is approved, the facilities and times will be confirmed, and you will become liable to pay the usage fees.

5. Usage Fee Payment

Once you have received the Payment Notice from the Reception Desk, please pay the usage fees by the due date.
We accept payment by bank transfer or in cash at the Reception Desk only.

※Using RTF for commercial purposes
If either of the following is applicable, an amount equivalent to the usage fee will be added.
(1) You intend to hold an event for commercial purposes and charge entry fees, lecture/tuition fees, membership fees, etc.
(2) You intend to use RTF to conduct activities of a commercial nature, such as product sales, commercial promotion, etc.

6. Usage procedures (Steps to take on the day of your booking)

You can pick up the keys from 15 minutes before your usage time starts.
On the day of your booking, please go to the Reception Desk, to the left after entering the Research Building.
We ask that you register your arrival at the Reception Desk.

7. Booking cancellation

To cancel your booking, please advise the Reception Desk by phone and submit a Cancellation Form.
