Fukushima Decommissioning-Related Industry Matching Support Secretariat
To promote the participation of companies in Fukushima Prefecture in decommissioning-related industries at the Tokyo Electric Power Company’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, the Fukushima Decommissioning-Related Industry Matching Support Secretariat was established in July 2020 through collaboration among three organizations: the Fukushima Innovation Coast Promotion Organization (FIPO), the Fukushima Soso Reconstruction Promotion Organization, and Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.
The Fukushima Innovation Coast Promotion Organization serves as the primary contact point for the Secretariat.
Main Activities of the Fukushima Decommissioning-Related Industry Matching Support Secretariat
The Fukushima Innovation Coast Promotion Organization (FIPO), under commission from Fukushima Prefecture, organizes networking events, business exhibitions, and study tours to create opportunities for business matching.
1. Provision of Matching Opportunities
We provide opportunities for business matching through matching events and individual business meetings.
2. Decommissioning Study Tours
We organize tours that include on-site visits to the power plant and seminars covering topics such as future procurement plans for decommissioning projects and requirements for conducting decommissioning work within the plant.
3. Decommissioning-Related Industry Networking Events
We organize networking events to promote mutual understanding between companies in Fukushima Prefecture seeking to enter or expand in decommissioning-related industries and prime contractors and Tokyo Electric Power Company engaged in decommissioning projects at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
4. Fukushima Decommissioning Industry Business Expo
To foster and promote the clustering of decommissioning-related industries, we organize a comprehensive exhibition on the decommissioning sector, featuring displays of decommissioning-related technologies and products by companies in Fukushima Prefecture, as well as live robot demonstrations.
5. Support for Employee Qualifications and Corporate Quality Certifications
We provide subsidies to support the costs of obtaining certifications and professional qualifications related to the decommissioning field.
6. Strengthening the Competitiveness of Local Companies
We dispatch experts to assist individual companies in addressing technical challenges and enhancing their competitiveness.
Main Support Measures in the Decommissioning Field
Subsidy Program for Employee Qualification Acquisition
We provide financial support through subsidy grants to businesses in Fukushima Prefecture that implement qualification acquisition initiatives aimed at enhancing technical capabilities in the decommissioning-related field.
Subsidy Program for the Acquisition of Quality Certifications for Decommissioning Projects
To support initiatives aimed at effectively meeting the quality requirements for products and services in decommissioning projects and enhancing reliability, we provide subsidy grants for the acquisition of quality certifications such as ISO 9001.
