Six students of Senshu University and Professor Sato inspected the Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF) and the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum!
Fukushima Innovation Coast Promotion Organization conducted an endowed course entitled “Industrial recovery towards Fukushima Prefecture’s revitalization from the earthquake disaster” at Senshu University, located in Kawasaki City of Kanagawa Prefecture, through which students became interested in the revitalization of Fukushima and the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework. With this as a background, the inspection tour was held.
An exchange meeting with CEO Kaneda of Space Entertainment Laboratory was held at RTF. The students made engaging comments, such as “I was able to hear valuable stories that I don’t usually have a chance to hear,” and “I have learned the importance of not being afraid of making mistakes after seeing Mr. Kaneda’s attitude of challenging himself to do what he wants.”
Unlike an ordinary inspection tour, the students travelled by public transportation at their own request, using such as the restored JR Joban Line, so that they could directly feel the situation of the area’s revitalization.
Unfortunately, it rained on the day. But using the public transportation that is used by local people for daily life, the participants experienced the area’s situation as if it was their own. We hope that this experience and what they learned through it will be useful in their future student lives.
